During his thirty-year career in higher education, Tim has been pleased to represent some distinguished institutions to their alumni, parent, student, and donor communities. At Colgate University in upstate New York, he served as Associate Vice President for Alumni Relations and Advancement. For ten years, he served as representative to the Admissions office on legacy admissions and alumni volunteer management. Prior to those positions, he served as Assistant Dean of Students and Director of Residential Life. In 2021, he moved to Boston and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) to serve as the Director of Alumni Volunteer Services, where he helped advise over 6,700 volunteers on applicant interviews.
Tim earned his M.Ed. degree from Providence College in guidance & counseling and advised hundreds of students during his career. He has experience managing legacy admissions, advising student-athletes, and supporting first generation families as they navigate college admissions.
Tim has lectured on college & community relations, managing alumni volunteers, and sexual violence prevention on college campuses. He is regarded as an expert public speaker, trusted counselor, and advocate for the value of higher education.
He is also the proud father of three boys who have navigated the undergraduate and graduate school application process.
